Justin Luis Diaz was born in Allentown, PA. Diaz obtained a B.A. with honors in Studio Art from the University of Richmond in 2004, where he recieved the Outstanding Artist Award. Diaz began exhibiting at that time and in 2005 attended the Rhode Island School of Design's M.F.A. program in Printmaking. In 2006 Diaz was an Artist in Residence at I-Park in East Haddam CT. In 2006 Diaz also traveled to Japan where he studied moku hanga, other traditional Japanese arts, and Japanese culture. Diaz recieved a M.F.A. with honors from RISD in 2007. Diaz currently lives and works in New York City.
